SpiceJet's vice president, revenue management, Fares Kilpady has resigned, said two people in the know, marking it the fourth top-level exit in the airline since it went back to the hands of former promoter Ajay Singh. Shilpa Bhatia, the airline's senior vice president, sales and distribution, will additionally take care of Kilpady's role, said one of the persons cited above. Both requested anonymity.
Kilpady joined SpiceJet in April last year. Before that, he was head of revenue optimization, sales and distribution at Air Asia X, the long-haul arm of the Malaysian low-fare carrier AirAsia Berhad, for three years. He has held positions at Air Arabia and had a stint with Sama, a Saudi Arabian low-cost carrier. The airline has got Satinder Pal Singh Suri from Air India as its senior vice president, flight operations. It has appointed Ardhendu Das, ex-IndiGo, as associate vice president, critical resource management. The airline has also promoted Bhavesh Mishra, a senior pilot at the airline as chief of flight safety. Ajay Singh has been rejigging SpiceJet's top management, replacing with new people, and giving additional responsibilities to executives at middle management.
