As VVIP Modi takes off, at least four flights and more than 500 passengers are delayed

New Delhi: On Monday, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi left for the six nation tour from the IGI Airport in Delhi, at least four flights got delayed for over one hour.
The passengers, who had already boarded the flights, had to wait for more than one hour to let the VVIP aircraft take off.
Almost 500 passengers got stuck due to the VVIP movement. On Monday, a GoAir flight to Mumbai got delayed by more than one hour.
“Our flight was scheduled to take off at 10.45 am for Mumbai. All the passengers had boarded the flight. After the aircraft gates were closed, the pilot announced that there will be a short delay due to VVIP movement.
"After almost half an hour the pilot made another announcement about the delay. There were almost 140 passengers, including senior citizens and children, who had to wait inside the aircraft for more than one hour,” Anshuman, a passenger, told Mail Today.
Similarly, flight 9W-0385 got delayed for almost 50 minutes. According to sources, the flight was scheduled to depart at 10.40 am but it got delayed due to VVIP movement.
