Domestic air traffic up 16% in June

New Delhi: Domestic air traffic rose 16.03 per cent in June compared to same period last year and Indigo continued to dominate the market, driving more than a third of traffic.

However, the growth is slightly lower than that witnessed in May when the traffic rose by 18.35 per cent.

The growth in air traffic in the first half of the year surged by 19.81 per cent compared to 4.51 per cent in the same period last year.

In January-June this year, domestic airlines flew 38.8 million passengers as against 32.4 million in the same period last year.
