Dry Run of International Open at City Airport

Bhubaneswar: Ahead of first international operations slated to start from July 10 from the city, Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) authorities on Wednesday conducted a dry run of passenger services at Terminal-2 of the airport.

BPIA officials inspected immigration and customs sections, luggage handling, security checks, boarding pass delivery, human and animal quarantine kiosks, apart from a few other mandates related to international travel.

Air India (AI) Officials and several tour operators expressed satisfaction over implementation of necessary setups including logistics, which would facilitate seamless journey for international flyers. BPIA would act only as a feeder for Delhi airport following the hub-and-spoke model of the new civil aviation policy.
