Chennai: Anand Jacob Verghese, director and CEO of Hindustan Group of Institutions, has been elected as the chairman of the Chennai branch of The Aeronautical Society of India. Verghese has taken over the post from the outgoing chairman Professor V Kanagarajan. Sai Prasanna Kumar, professor and head, Department of Aeronautical Engineering, G K M College of Engineering and Technology, has been elected as the vice-chairman, while J Ashok Babu, professor, Aviation, Hindustan University as the honorary secretary.
