Aurangabad airport authorities order probe inti trishul on plane

Aurangabad: : The airport director at Aurangabad on Wednesday ordered a probe into the incident of self-proclaimed godwoman Radhe Maa carrying a foot-long metal trident, on a flight.

Frequent fliers had raised objections to Radhe Maa being allowed to carry the 'trishul' on board the Jet Airways' Aurangabad-Mumbai flight on Sunday at 6.50am. However, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officials had said none of the rules were violated and that Radhe Maa was allowed to carry the trishul because it was "blunt."

On Wednesday, airport director Alok Vershney told TOI, "It is a serious security lapse and an unfortunate incident. We are definitely going to reach to its depth and have ordered a probe. Accountability would be fixed and action would be initiated against the guilty."

He also said that all efforts would be taken to ensure that no such security lapse would happen again.
