The grieving families of MH370 have been promised an answer to the fate of their loved ones within 48 hours.
A senior member of an international team of aviation experts made the pledge as they started combing the beach at St Andre.
The men were searching for anything that could be connected to MH370, focusing specifically on plastic. They removed several plastic bags filled with debris, which they were handing to local authorities.
None of the delegation — from Malaysia, France and believed to be from China — wished to be identified.
“We are all working together, a big force from around the world,” one senior member said.
“But at this stage we have to respect the local authorities and the government of France who is coordinating this investigation.”
“Everyone is committed and they are working towards the same objective. We need to be patient and respect the process so everything is done correctly for the families.”
He said the French government would make an announcement on whether or not the 777 wing part found here last Wednesday was from MH370.
“Be patient, you will have some answers from Toulouse,” he said.
“You will have an answer within 24 to 48 hours.
