Panchkula: The seven-day wait of the family of Col (Retd) M S Brar ended on Thursday after his body was brought home. Col (Retd) M S Brar, 48, a resident of Sector 20, Panchkula, was one of the two pilots on the Pawan Hans helicopter that went missing on August 4, during a flight to Dibrugarh, Assam. Col Brar had opted for premature retirement from the Army Aviation Corps in 2010. “If the ENT (Emergency Locator Transmitter) in the helicopter had been working properly, probably, some lives including that of my son, could have been saved. Things could have been different,” claimed Brar’s father Air Commodore (Retd) G S Brar, who also held the position of AOC 12 Wing Chandigarh from June 1989 to June 1991.
