5.2 kg gold haul at Bengaluru airport

Bengaluru: As much as 5.2kg gold valued at Rs.1.37 crore was seized from the baggage of an Indian passenger at the Bengaluru international airport on Monday, a customs official said.
"We have arrested accused Farooq Rahman after gold biscuits were found concealed in a compressor of an air-conditioner he brought from Kuala Lumpur as part of his baggage in a Malaysian airline flight," Customs Additional Commissioner D.A. Anil told IANS.
