AAI issues duty free RFP for 14 Indian airports

Following the collapse of a large number of tenders at 12 airports launched in May earlier this year, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) has now launched a new ‘tentative’ tender for 14 of its airports.

On 24 September, AAI launched a global RFP for the development and operation of duty free outlets at 14 airports in India for a period of seven years starting with Chennai, Lucknow, Goa, Trivandrum and Madurai Airports.

A ‘pre-bid meeting’ is due to take place on the 9 October for the aforementioned airports and the last date for bidders to submit their proposal is 12 October. AAI says it aims to respond to bidders’ ‘queries’ by 16 October.
