Hyderabad The State government appears to be determined to go ahead with its ambitious plans for setting up an aerotropolis at Bhogapuram in Vizianagaram district notwithstanding the stiff resistance from farmers and land owners of the area.
The government has stepped up efforts to formulate an action plan to convince the residents of the affected villages so that they will be willing to part with their lands under the land pooling scheme aimed at acquiring close to 15,000 acres. According to senior officials, the government was exploring options of least displacement so that the resistance from the land owners could be limited to a bare minimum.
