Pune: Frequent fliers would soon have the option of travelling to and from the airport in air-conditioned buses.
Transport utility PMPML (Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited) is planning to start AC buses to the Lohegaon airport on 10 new routes from various parts of Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad. It is mulling over buying 50 buses after getting good response to the AC bus service from Hinjewadi and Kothrud to the airport, launched a few weeks ago.
There were some teething problems after the launch of the service, though. Complaints started pouring in about space crunch to keep luggage in the buses. Taking them in right spirit, PMPML has decided to remove two rows of seats in the front first and then spread the airport bus network.
