From Oct 15, IndiGo to introduce late-night flights on domestic sector

New Delhi:  Delhi-based low-cost airline IndiGo is introducing the international Red Eye flights concept in the Indian skies.

In a communication to travel agents, IndiGo has said it will be launching very late night non-stop flights between Delhi-Mumbai, Delhi-Chennai, and Delhi-Bengaluru from October 15.

Such late night flights are popularly called ‘Red Eye’ flights in the US because they operate late at night at fares that are much lower than what airlines normally charge.

As part of the plan, IndiGo plans to operate its 17{+t}{+h} non-stop flight between Mumbai and Delhi with a departure time of 2 am and arrival at 4.10 a.m. This flight will become operational from October 26 with fares starting at Rs. 3,055.
