Thiruvananthapuram: The calibration of the US-made Instrument Landing System (ILS), installed in the Thiruvananthapuram international airport to guide aircraft to precision landing, commenced on Thursday. The calibrating aircraft of the Airports Authority of India was rushed to the airport for calibration as glitches were noticed in the ILS procured from Selex ES US.
