Rajahmundry: The government has acquired 857.09 acres for the expansion of the Madhurapudi airport here. Of the total land acquired, 797.38 acres of belonged to private persons, while the remaining 59.71 acres are owned by the government. Sub-Collector V. Vijaya Rama Raju said ex gratia would be paid to evacuees from October 1.
