Thiruvananthapuram: A 60-year-old man was arrested by the Valiyathura police from the airport here on Saturday after he made an attempt to travel to Saudi Arabia on a fake passport.
The police said the Nazimudeen, from Madavaoor, was apprehended at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport here by officials who detected that the passport was not genuine.
Nazimudeen was handed over to the Valiyathura police where the arrest was recorded.
The Valiyathura police said the accused had used the passport to travel to Saudi Arabia on previous occasions, too.
