Chandigarh: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the international airport at Mohali near here on September 11, officials said today
Besides, the PM will hand over key to the beneficiaries of affordable housing scheme in sector 63 of Chandigarh and also address a convocation of PGIMER here on the same day.
Modi is also expected to address a public rally in the city on September 11, BJP sources said.
Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today held a series of meetings here with the senior leaders of the SAD-BJP including Cabinet Ministers, Chief Parliamentary Secretaries, MLAs besides the officers of the state government to finalise the arrangements, the spokesman said.
Badal exhorted the leaders of SAD-BJP and the top brass of the government to ensure huge participation of the people from different walks of life on this historic event.
He said that with the opening of International airport at Mohali, Punjab has scripted a new chapter of its unending success story.
