Hyderabad: A traveller lost his wallet containing US dollars and Saudi Riyals during baggage scanning at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport on Tuesday morning.
Syed Jaffar, 28, of Shahgunj in Old City arrived by a Saudi Airlines flight at RGI Airport around 8 a.m.
After landing at the airport Jaffar, before checking out placed the bag in the scanner.
He claimed that he kept the wallet containing 1,800 US dollars and 8,056 Saudi Riyals on the bag along with the laptop.
“It is not clear how it went missing, while the man accused the airport staff of stealing it, the latter say they handed over the wallet to him,” RGIA Detective Inspector S.N Javeed said.
