Shimla: The High Court of Himachal Pradesh today directed the Committee (constituted by it to suggest and take all steps to make the Shimla Airport operational) within two weeks and submit details about the progress made by it and also explore the possibility to have the facilities of big air craft at Shimla Airport. The Court on 9th January had constituted the above mentioned committee comprising Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation; Chairman, Airport Authority of India; Chairman-cum-Managing Director , Air India; Airport Director, Shimla Airport; Principal Secretary (Tourism) to the State of Himachal Pradesh, Deputy Commissioner, Shimla, Deputy Commissioner, Solan and Engineer-in-Chief, HPPWD, which directed to suggest and take steps to make the Airport operational as early as possible.
