Drones not to fly over Mysuru

Mysuru: The city police will not fly unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) that hovered over the crowds during the Dasara procession in the last two years.

City Police Commissioner B. Dayananda said the police had dropped the idea of flying drones for surveillance this year in view of the guidelines from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).

The drones, which are equipped with high resolution cameras, transmit stunning images and videos from heights up to 1,000 ft.
