Flight cancellation irks SpiceJet passengers

Mohali: SpiceJet's Chandigarh-Srinagar flight was cancelled on Monday which irked passengers who rued that they were not informed in advance by the company. Passengers, who were stranded at the new airport in Mohali, alleged that they came to know about the "sudden cancellations of their flight" on arriving at the airport. The flight was scheduled to take off at 3.40pm. Passengers included army personnel who had to report to their Srinagar base in the evening.

Rajiv Kumar, 32, a resident of Hoshiarpur, who is an Army constable posted in Srinagar was on his way back after holidays. He said: "I had to join office in the evening and untimely flight cancellation has caused chaos."
