Youth wings of three major opposition parties in Mizoram on Tuesday threatened agitation if the state government went ahead with its proposal to hand over the lone Lengpui Airport near Aizawl to the Indian Air Force.
The youth wings of the Mizo National Front (MNF), Zoram Nationalist Party (ZNP) and Mizoram People’s Conference (MPC) issued a joint press statement warning that they would launch a strong agitation if the Congress government went ahead with the proposal to hand over the airport to the IAF.
