Night charter flights to be affected at Goa Airport

In a move that is likely to affect flights, especially charter operators, arrivals and departures at Goa international airport, Dabolim, are likely to be curtailed during the night between 10pm and 4am as the Indian Navy has decided to repair the runway's shoulders and drains. The work was kept pending due to the onset of monsoon and was not completed during the repair work undertaken during the summer.

The Travel and tourism association of Goa had intimated defence minister Manohar Parrikar seeking his intervention as the works, which will begin from October 1 and go on to November 29, will severely affect charter arrivals, tourism sector sources said. Qatar Airways and Air Arabia are the commercial flights that will be affected the most.
