SpiceJet records highest load factor for September

New Delhi: Budget passenger carrier SpiceJet on Wednesday reported the highest passenger load factor (PLF) in the Indian civil aviation market during September.
The PLF is a key indicator of the company's performance, as it measures the average percentage of seats filled on airline's aircraft fleet.

According to the company, the latest Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) statistics revealed that the airline's PLF stood at 93 percent in September.

"We continue to deliver strong performance despite September normally being a weaker quarter," said Shilpa Bhatia, senior vice president and head of sales and distribution, SpiceJet.

September was the sixth month in a row that the airline has topped the charts in terms of PLF.
Furthermore, the airline elaborated that September was the fifth consecutive month that SpiceJet maintained a PLF of over 90 percent.
