Panaji: The state government has replied to all 13 queries raised by the ministry of environment, forests and climate change on the Greenfield airport at Mopa.
Sources said the Centre will now decide on granting environment clearance (EC) to the project next month.
The ministry's expert appraisal committee meets every 45 days to grant EC to major projects in the country.
Suresh Shanbhogue, director, directorate of civil aviation told STOI that one of the queries was that the terms of reference (ToR) had expired for conducting the environment impact assessment (EIA). "We have informed the committee that the ToR was extended and the EIA was done as per terms and conditions."
