Jorhat: Seven people, including two women,have been arrested in Assam's Jorhat district on charge of conducting recruitment for a fake aviation institute, a senior police officer said today.
The seven, who have been arrested, had posed themselves as the academy's 'director' and faculty members. They have been identified as Sandip Kumar (director) and 'faculty members' -- Kishor Prasad, Narayan Singh, Manish Biswas, Dibanshu Mitra, Yesheka Sarma and Priyanka Sarma. They were detained on October 23 on charge of duping educated unemployed youths in the name of giving them admission and demanding a large sum of money for screening test at a local school, the official said.
