After 35th bomb hoax letter, cops still clueless about sender

Vadodara:  Two letters received by Centre Square Mall and Jain temple in Kothi area of the city on Tuesday threatened of bomb blasts, but turned out to be hoax. The letter sent to the mall by the miscreants threatened blasts at the mall, city airport and Jalaram temple in Veerpur, while the one received by the Jain temple authorities talked about carrying out blasts in three trains.

City bomb squad conducted search operations at the temple, mall and airport. No suspicious object was found from the spot. The letter sent to the Jain temple threatened blasts in Hazur Sahib Nanded - Bikaner Express, Vaishnodevi-Hapa Superfast Express and Katra-Jamnagar (Sindhu) Superfast Express.

"The letters had similar handwriting to the ones previously sent to various places by the miscreants. We had conducted the search but nothing was found. However, the authorities concerned have been asked to be on alert," said Gorwa police inspector M M Puwar.
