Air India, Jet Airways say flights to Paris continue as scheduled

Mumbai: Jet Airways and Air India said their flights to Paris will operate as per schedule as the city's main airport remained open even as France declared a national state of emergency and tightened security across its borders in the wake of massive terror attacks in the capital.

Both carriers operate one daily flight on their own from Mumbai and Delhi respectively.

Jet Airways also has codeshares with Air France and Etihad for ferrying passengers to the city. A spokesperson clarified the airline could only comment on its own operations.
Late Friday, Paris was shaken by a spate of explosions and gunfire at the Bataclan concert hall, Stade de France stadium and some restaurants in the city. The death toll, according to latest media updates was more than 150 while more than 200 people were seriously injured.
