Ahmedabad: Around 300 Newark and Mumbai-bound passengers created ruckus at international terminal of Ahmedabad airport after Air India's AI-191 Ahmedabad-Mumbai-Newark flight was grounded few minutes before scheduled departure.
According to passengers, when they were about to board the flight, Air India officials informed them that due to technical reasons the Newark flight has been grounded.
The flight which was scheduled to depart at 9.15pm is now expected to take-off at 4.15am on Wednesday.
It is to be noted that AI-144 Newark-Mumbai-Ahmedabad had arrived at its scheduled time at 8.30pm. However, the same aircraft which was to operate on return flight was grounded in less than an hour.
