Air Odisha tickets to be sold online soon

Bhubaneswar:  Local carrier Air Odisha, which was struggling to run intra-state operations, has decided to sell tickets online from November end.

The carrier's decision came after the state government provided with it the much-needed hangar recently. The flier had parked its nine-seater flight at Biju Patnaik International Airport here but the government had not provided it with a hangar.

"The government had given us November 30 as a deadline to start operations. We have readied the aircraft and made some changes in its looks by painting and putting up new stickers. If we get good response in online booking, we will start operations from the first week of December," said Air Odisha founder captain Santosh Pani.

The aircraft will go to five destinations every day from Bhubaneswar and the carrier will engage 25 employees, including an engineer, at each destination. According to the carrier's flying plans, it will go to Jharsuguda en route Sambalpur in the morning. It will leave Jharsuguda for Bhubaneswar after half an hour halt. It will take off for Rourkela en route Angul in the afternoon. It will then fly to Jeypore and return to Bhubaneswar.
