Indo-Oman link gets 5131 more airline seats in bilateral agreement

New Delhi: The civil aviation ministry today announced an increase in weekly seat entitlements with Oman allowing an increase in connectivity between India and Oman.

"A MoU was signed with Oman whereby, additional 5131 seats were granted taking the total capacity entitlements from 16,018 seats per week to 21,149 seats per week for both sides," said a release from the civil aviation ministry.

The release added that the civil aviation ministry also agreed to increase capacity entitlements (in terms of number of weekly flights) with Kenya and Ethiopia. The Indian government also allowed carriers from Finland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark to have liberal code shares with pour carriers.
