MRO facility in Dubai: Hiring for 2,000 jobs in 2 months

The fast-growing aviation sector in the UAE will generate employment opportunities for over 2,000 people for both expatriates and UAE nationals.

The new jobs will come up at the Dh370 million maintenance, repairing and overhauling (MRO) facility to be built at Dubai South, near Al Maktoum International Airport, said Anshul Bhargava, Chairman and Managing Director of Haveus Aerotech (HA).

A tripartite alliance comprising the India-based Haveus Aerotech, Air India Engineering Services Ltd (AIESL) and AIitalia Maintenance Systems have signed an agreement with Dubai South to set up MRO facility with the capacity to service 100 engines a year.

Slated to be operational in mid-2017, the 9,000 square metre facility within the Aviation District will cater to CFM56-7B/5B engines along with APU and power gas turbine engines.

The joint-venture company will start recruitment in the next 2-3 months time through the launch of a job portal and will also advertise for a wide range of positions, Bhargava told this website in a telephonic interview.
