Chennai: After the arrest of South African national Molefe Keditlwaetse Lizzie, who was in possession of 990 g of cocaine on arrival from Sao Paulo in Chennai airport on Saturday night, the Narcotics Control Bureau has formed teams to track local agents.
The woman, suspected to be operating at the behest of a cocaine cartel based in South America, was instructed by her handler to stay in a hotel t where a local agent would meet her. Since nothing was found in her baggage, investigators took her to the Government Royapettah Hospital where a body scan revealed suspicious particles in her stomach.
Further investigation revealed that she had swallowed 86 capsules containing pure form of cocaine.
