Vasco: Over 20 passengers who had reached here from Bangalore via a Jet Airways flight got a shock when they went to claim their baggage at Dabolim airport. The airline had left their baggage behind in Bangalore!
Around 68 passengers boarded the Jet Airways flight to Goa from Bangalore at 1.25 pm and arrived here in 45 minutes. The passengers gathered near the conveyor belt and waited for their stuff. Around 20 of them, including a few foreign tourists, continued to wait till an airline officer informed them that their luggage had been left behind.
"We were shocked to hear that our baggage was left behind and we had no information. As it is, the flight was delayed. Few passengers were supposed to attend meetings, but their laptops and other important items were in their bags. It was also annoying as a junior staff who faced our volley of queries could not tell us when we would receive our luggage. It was their fault and we were made to stand in the queue for such a long time," said a passenger.
