We want to make Indian skies vibrant: Ashok Gajapati Raju, civil aviationminister

Some established airlines' contention that potential scrapping of 5/20 norms is unfair to them is like saying "I was ragged in college, so the next generation too should be ragged", says civil aviation minister Ashok Gajapati Raju.

Making Indian skies vibrant is what the government is concerned about and it will go ahead with what is good for the country, he told ET's Mihir Mishra and Satish John in an interview at his offical residence at Tughlaq Road, New Delhi. Between deep puffs from his cigarettes and caressing of his pet dachshund Twinkle on his lap, Raju also talked about the different aspects of the draft aviation policy and disinvestment of Air India.
