2 AI officials assault staff at IGI, held

New Delhi: Two Air India officials were arrested for allegedly assaulting one of their catering staff after the man had supplied two Air India water bottles to an international flight. The incident took place on Sunday evening at the Indira Gandhi International Airport.
The victim was identified as Vikas, an AISATS employee. AISATS is a joint venture between Air India Limited, and Singapore Airport Terminal Services Limited which also provides for catering service to the air carrier.
"We got a call around 6pm, that two men have assaulted another at the airport. When a police team reached the spot it was revealed that the complainant had supplied a water bottle of Air India to some other international flight. A case under relevant sections was registered and the duo was arrested," said a senior police official.
