New Delhi: Seeking to promote use of indigenous fabric, national carrier Air India has decided to use the natural and eco-friendly khadi products for its international flights and has placed order worth Rs 1.21 crores with the Khadi and Village Industries Commission for getting 25,000 units of amenity kits.
The amenity kits are provided by Air India to its first class and business class passengers, flying on the airline's international network, a release said today.
The products will be supplied by Khadi Gramodyog Bhawan, a flagship retail unit of the KVIC, it said.
The kits includes hand sanitiser, moisturiser lotion, lemongrass, handmade soap, khadi lip balm, rose face wash, essential oils, among others, the release said.
