The Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), the aviation regulator, has given its nod to Air Odisha for inter-state flight service in Odisha. With the DGCA giving its approval, the flier would now run regular flights.
Air Odisha had started the trial run of its flight last Sunday. A three-member team from Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) headed by Subodh Gangwani, a senior flight operations inspector, was on board during the airworthiness test.
According to the proposed schedule, the nine-seat small aircraft would fly to five destinations from Biju Patnaik International Airport here in a day. It would go to Jharsuguda en route Sambalpur in the morning.
