Hyderabad: At least 23 women arrested at RGIA(Rajiv Gandhi International Airport) for carrying fake visas in the last three days. It has shocked both the Immigration authorities and the Cyberabad police. The women, who came from Kadapa district, were found carrying two kinds of visas – one tourist visa and another work permit visa.
RGIA Inspector T. Sudhakar said A person going abroad should either have a tourist or work visa, but the 23 women possessed both the visas. The Immigration authorities at the airport detained them on finding the women possessing two kinds of visas. After they were handed over to the police for questioning, it was revealed that the visas relating to the work permit were fake but the tourist visas were genuine.
The racket came to light on Friday, a woman from Kadapa was detained by the Immigration authorities at RGIA while she was about to pass the clearance to board a flight from Shamshabad to Dubai. The officials recovered a fake work visa from her possession.
