Mumbai: With flight operations at Chennai airport suspended till Sunday, several airlines have waived cancellation fees and other charges.
National carrier Air India on Thursday announced that it will honour tickets issued by the airline from/to Chennai for travel from/to nearest airports like Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Mangalore, Thiruvananthapuram, Vishakhapatnam, Kozhikode, Coimbatore, Trichy, Madurai, Kochi, Vijayawada and Tirupati till December 15 without any additional charge.
"No cancellation/refund charges will be levied on Air India tickets for travel to/from Chennai till December 15," said an AI spokesperson.
A Jet Airways spokesperson said that operations at Chennai airport have been suspended till 12 noon on December 6.
