In a hurry to reach Chennai as quick as they can, Chennai-bound passengers caught in New Delhi due to incessant rain causing public life to nadir, had a shock on Monday when they look at the schedule of the nine available flights from New Delhi to Chennai. Out of nine flights only two are direct non-stop flights while seven others would have some other stoppages. This is not the problem, the problem is their time management as the rest seven flights would take a minimum of six hours five minutes to maximum twelve hours and thirty minutes. Interestingly, all these seven flights are one stop flights. Normally, it takes around two hours forty five minutes for a direct flight to reach Chennai from New Delhi.
Apart from this, the Ministry of Civil Aviation had announced that no aviation company would be allowed to take advantage of this precarious situation through skyrocketing of air ticket prices, there seems no heed from the aviation companies.
