Domestic airlines flew 24.56% more passengers in November


The domestic airlines flew 73.22 lakh passengers in November this year recording a 24.65 per cent increase over the 58.74 lakh passengers carried during the same period in the previous year.

In a statement, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation said that the increase in passenger carriage is mainly due to the on-going tourist season.

IndiGo remained the market leader flying 25.98 lakh passengers followed by Jet Airways at 13.62 lakhs with Air India taking the third position having carried 11.89 lakh passengers.

SpiceJet flew 9.77 lakh followed by Go Air (6.03 lakh).
