Jaipur: Panic gripped flyers at Terminal-2 of Jaipur airport when officials organised a mock drill on Monday morning. The drill started with a phone call stating that a bomb is found near the exit gate of the Jaipur airport at 10.45 am.
Thereafter, a team from bomb disposal squad of Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) and of nearby police stations, including Jawahar Circle and Sanganer rushed to the spot.
"It was a mock drill to check the response time of our various units and coordination with city police. It started at 11.05 am and it went successful at 11.47 am when we achieved the target," said B K Tailang, director, Airport Authority of India, Jaipur.
He said that during the process, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) could locate the baggage that was told to be having bomb and send it to Baggage Containment Vehicle.
