The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) on Friday took suo motu cognisance of reports about the gruesome death of an Air India ground staffer, Ravi Subramanian, after he was sucked into the engine of an aircraft at Mumbai airport on Wednesday. It observed that the safety and security of staff at airports was of great concern.
