On flight? Mind your tongue or get ousted

Kolkata:  Remember never to use the words "terrorist" "bomb", "explosive" or "hi jack" inside an aircraft or in an airport. Two passengers on an IndiGo flight on Thursday learnt their lesson the hard way when they were escorted off the aircraf for talking about "defusing a bomb".

According to sources, a group of 13 passengers boar ded the IndiGo flight 6E 404 As they settled into their se ats, one of them told another "Oh, I have forgotten to defu se the bomb!" An air hostess who was preparing the rear pantry area before take off caugh the conversation. Acting on set protocol, she immediately appraised the captain who contacted the airline security and had the two pas sengers escorted off along with their luggage.

"The passengers seated in 30E and 30F were overheard saying they forgot to defuse a bomb. The captain was immediately alerted and he ordered their immediate offload.They are being investigated," an airline official said.

During interrogation, the men said they were Ordinance Factory employees and were joking amongst themselves without intending to harm anyone.
The duo have been handed over to the police.
