Along with YSRCP MP Mithun Reddy, Chevireddy is also one of the accused in the case. He surrendered before the police after failing to get an anticipatory bail. The police shifted him to the police station. It may be recalled here that a criminal case has been registered against Mithun Reddy along with his 15 other followers under sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty) and 448 (house-trespass) of IPC.
