Airport Police Arrests 8 for Duping with Forged Documents

Hyderabad: The Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) police on Monday arrested eight persons, including a customer service agent at Jet Airways, for their alleged involvment in making fake and forged Visas, Protector of Emigrants (POE) documents.

According to police, the gang members were operating the illegal business by duping innocent people based in West and East Godavari, Kadapa and Nizamabad districts. Each agent has about 30 to 40 sub-agents, who identify women, who are in desperate need of employment.

Taking advantage of their pathetic condition, the accused collect their passport and other ID proofs and send them to their counterparts in Gulf countries, who in turn obtain housemaid employment visas and send back the same to the local agents of the districts.
