Centre gives nod to finalise Mopa developer

Panaji: The steering committee headed by the Union Civil Aviation Ministry has given approval to the bid document for Request for Proposal (RFP) which includes the draft of concession agreement, which will pave the way for finalising the developer for the International Greenfield Airport at Mopa.
With the approval by the steering committee, the Goa government is now in the process of floating the RFP by January 15.
The meeting, chaired by Union Minister for Civil Aviation Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju, was held on Wednesday in New Delhi, and it gave the nod to the RFP document. On behalf of the Goa government, Chief Secretary R K Srivastava, Secretary for Civil Aviation Kunal and the Director of Civil Aviation Dr S Shanbhogue besides senior officials from various departments attended the meet. Officials from agencies of the Union government also attended the meeting.
