Global passenger traffic will more than double over the next 20 years, rising from 6.6bn last year to 14.6bn by 2034, according to a forecasting report from Switzerland-based DKMA. Director at the aviation market analysis and forecasting house, Damien Kobel, says: “More than half of these eight billion additional passengers are expected in Asia Pacific which highlights the dramatic shift from west to east that the industry will experience over the next 20 years.”
