GoAir(G8, Mumbai Int'l) is studying possible international destinations ahead of the arrival of its twentieth aircraft later this year. Under India's current 5/20 law, airlines may only start international flights once they have a been in service for at least five years and operate at least twenty aircraft.
"We are looking at starting overseas operations after we become eligible next year," airline's CEO Wolfgang Prock-Schauer said last month. "We are still evaluating routes. It will not be a large-scale operation. Our goal is to run a profitable airline."
